A pair of reef stonefishes, Synanceia verrucosa, blend superbly into their coral rubble setting. Normally solitary, these two may have met up in order to mate. The one on the left has a fine carpet of algae growing on it to increase its camouflage. Sanganeb Reef, central Red Sea.
